Build

Web Development

We build business websites and web applications on the platform that fits the job — then make sure the thing we built can actually be run by the people who own it.

What this fixes

The platform was chosen before the problem was understood

A brochure site built on an ecommerce platform, or a complex operational tool bolted onto a theme. The wrong foundation makes every later decision more expensive.

It looks fine and generates nothing

Traffic arrives, reads a page that answers none of its questions, and leaves. Design and copy that ignore commercial intent are decoration.

Nobody can change it

Editing a headline requires a developer. So the site ages, the content goes stale, and the business stops treating it as an asset.

It is slow, and that costs money

Oversized images, competing plugins and render-blocking scripts. Speed is not vanity — it changes how many people stay long enough to enquire.

What’s included

Platform recommendation
A straight answer on WordPress, WooCommerce, Next.js, Laravel or a custom build — with the reasoning, including the case against the one we recommend.
Structure and journeys
Page architecture, navigation and internal linking planned around what visitors are trying to do and what the business needs them to do next.
Design and build
Responsive from 320px up, accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, and built as components so the site can grow without a redesign.
Performance budget
Core Web Vitals treated as a build requirement rather than a post-launch audit: image pipeline, font loading, script discipline.
Search foundations
Crawlable rendered HTML, clean URLs, metadata, structured data, sitemap and canonicals in place from the first deploy.
Handover
Documentation and a walkthrough so your team can edit content confidently. If you want us to keep maintaining it, that is a choice rather than a dependency.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Diagnose

What the business needs the site to do, who it serves, and what is currently getting in the way.

  2. 02

    Scope

Platform decision, sitemap, functionality and a fixed scope you can hold us to.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and development in the open, with a staging environment you can review as it comes together.

  4. 04

    Launch

Migration, redirects, analytics, Search Console and a post-launch check that nothing regressed.

Questions

How do you decide which platform to use?
By what the site has to do. Content-led marketing sites where a team publishes regularly usually point to WordPress. Selling physical products alongside that points to WooCommerce. Sites where speed and interaction quality are the product point to Next.js. Anything with real business logic, roles and data behind it points to Laravel. We tell you which and why before any work starts.
Can you work with our existing site rather than rebuilding it?
Often, yes — and it is frequently the better value. A performance pass, a restructure of the page architecture or a redesign of the templates can solve the problem without a full rebuild. We will say so if that is the case.
Who owns the site when it is finished?
You do — the code, the hosting account and the domain. We do not hold client sites hostage on proprietary platforms you cannot leave.
